Through my multidisciplinary storytelling modalities (filmmaking, writing, and choreography) I share my first hand accounts of southern traditions growing up in New Orleans. My stories are based in healing, community, spirituality and family histories to combat the monolithic stereotypes of black people in the gulf south while promoting the bravery and courage to break generational cycles. I believe that we already have the foundation for strong community, holistic and spiritual practices. My desire is to honor cultural legacies by telling our stories.
